The dish, Bananas Foster originated in New Orleans, Louisiana, a key import town for bananas in the 1950s. We crafted our baby and toddler-appropriate version of this recipe with bananas, butternut squash and sweet potato, which means, shhhhhh-- your baby is eating more vegetables than fruit in this dish! (We won’t tell them if you won’t!)
Tiny Story: This is our team’s favorite dish!
Eyes: Sweet potatoes and butternut squash are loaded with beta carotene, a form of vitamin A that helps with your baby’s eye development.
Energy: Sweet potatoes provide iron, which helps deliver oxygen to the cells for energy. Vitamin C found in bananas and sweet potatoes helps the absorption of iron.
